Support Sprung!! “Four Dreams”

We are excited to launch our first crowd-funding campaign through the Australian Cultural Fund through the following link:

2016 will be Sprung!!s strongest project year to date, as we bring “Encounters” to fruition in October and launch “Four Dreams”, a dance theatre film project. Despite this, it will be the first in four years without significant grant funding, due to a major decrease in regional arts funding.

FOUR DREAMS will be a dance theatre film work devised by four dancers from Sprung!! Integrated Dance Theatre, to be mentored by Michael Hennessy and Louise Dowling, former members of Sydney Dance Company.

Lizzie (Elizabeth) Venn’s dream is to “pack her port and go to New York”, the basis for the pilot shown on the ACF campaign site.
Tara Coughlan’s dream involves Luna Park and possibly cabaret.
Max McAuley’s dream is a dance poem of funky new moves that pay homage to missed loved ones.
Sinead Skorka Brennan dreams of performing with her cellist mother and expressing affairs of the heart.

Four Dreams will be a dance theatre film work that gives artistic flesh to these stories of the heart. Elements from the works can be translated for stage, web, gallery, and film festival.

Please consider contributing to our Support-a-Dancer campaign. Donations over 2$ through ACF are tax-deductible.
